Purposes and legal basis

Astans Business Software processes personal data for payment handling, service communications, informing you about changes, account management, delivery of software and related services and improvement of the website and offering.

Retention periods

Astans Business Software does not retain personal data longer than strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

You can request deletion of your account. Personal data will then be removed from our systems except where statutory retention obligations apply.

• Customer data: during the agreement plus 7 years for tax purposes

Sharing personal data with third parties

Astans Business Software only provides personal data to third parties when this is necessary to perform the agreement or comply with a legal obligation.

Where appropriate, processing arrangements are made with external service providers to safeguard security and confidentiality.

Website visit tracking

General visitor data is recorded on the website, including information about visits and time of access. This information may be used to analyse visitor flows and improve the functionality and structure of the website.

Analytical tracking that requires consent is only activated after you have given permission through the cookie banner.

Use of analytical software

We use analytical technologies to understand how visitors use the website. Where consent is required, these technologies are only activated after consent. We use the collected information to improve the website and our services.

Leadinfo

We use Leadinfo B.V. for B2B website analytics. Leadinfo may use a visitor’s IP address to determine whether a visit originates from a business organisation and match this with publicly available company information. According to Leadinfo, the IP address itself is not stored in the customer profile.

After consent, information about pages visited and sessions may be processed. Leadinfo lists the first-party cookies _li_id, retained for up to 2 years, and _li_ses, for the duration of the session. Astans uses this information for website analytics and B2B follow-up.

Hosting and storage

General terms

The NLdigital terms apply to all deliveries by Astans Business Software. These terms were developed by NLdigital and are a standard used in the Dutch ICT sector.

The complete and legally binding text of the applicable NLdigital terms always remains leading.

Summary of key terms

Applicability: the NLdigital terms apply to quotations and agreements under which Astans Business Software supplies goods and/or services to the customer.

Liability: Astans Business Software’s total liability for an attributable failure is limited to direct loss up to the price agreed for the relevant agreement, excluding VAT, with a maximum of €500,000.

Intellectual property: intellectual-property rights in software, websites, databases and other materials developed by Astans Business Software belong to Astans Business Software or its licensors.

Disputes: parties first try to resolve disputes through consultation. If this does not resolve the dispute, it may be submitted to the competent court in Tilburg or, where applicable, to arbitration under the NLdigital terms.

Warranty and maintenance: warranty is provided in accordance with the NLdigital terms. Maintenance and support are provided according to the agreed service levels.

Confidentiality: parties keep confidential information secret. Astans Business Software software is confidential in nature.

Applicable law: agreements are governed by Dutch law. The Vienna Sales Convention 1980 is excluded.
